In the province of Epirus, in western Greece, there is an oracle (Necromanteion of Ephyra(?)). I've been there as a tourist and I have collected some material about it none of which question that it is the oracle mentioned in Odyssey. However, just today I heard that in a book by a Finnish professor, Paavo Castrén, it is briefly mentioned and only thought to be a heavily fortified house. I would welcome any additional information about the historicity of the Oracle. -EnSamulili 14:08, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
